September Skincare Saviours

Oh lads the Autumn is coming and you know what that means…dry skin gets even drier!! For me this is the time of the year that I have to get religious with my moisturising regime. So with that in mind I decided to write a blog post some of my fave top to toe moisturising products.

Hand Food, hand cream, Soap & Glory, Boots

I’ve currently changed over to the gorgeous Sugar Crush version of Hand Food from Soap & Glory

Soap and Glory Hand Food

Gosh I have no idea how many times I have re-purchased this hand cream. I just love it. I started using it about ten years ago when Boots began doing their Star Buys at Christmas time. Everybody gets excited about the Soap and Glory Star Gift, it normally sells out the same day. I’m a huge fan of this brand, especially their body products so every year I succumb to the gift too!! That’s how I initially discovered this hand cream.

I find it brilliant for softening and moisturising my hands without leaving a sticky residue. And I know this shouldn’t matter but it smells absolutely heavenly too. It’s unmistakably Soap and Glory. If you haven’t tried this yet, sort yourself out!! I’ve currently moved from the Original version to the Sugar Crush edition. It contains the same fabulously moisturising ingredients, it’s just lime scented.

Soap and Glory products are available to buy in all Boots stores or online from

Clarins Hydra Essentiel Moisture Replenishing Lip Balm

When it comes to skin care you all know how I feel about Clarins. For me I don’t think there is a more consistent brand when it comes to excellent products. This lip balm is no different. I absolutely love it. It is really hydrating without being sticky. I use it every night before bed. I also use it over matte lipsticks to give them movement on my lips. In my humble opinion this is a must have all year round but especially coming into the Winter.

Hydra Essentiel Moisture Replenishing Lip Balm

Yonka Lait Nettoyant

My love affair with cleansers is well documented here and obviously I’m also quite taken with French skincare!! Here is the perfect marriage of both. Yonka is another plant based skincare company and this Cleansing Milk is such a great addition to your routine. Suitable for all skin types, it can be used on the face and eyes and easily removes all traces of makeup from your face. Apply it to damp skin, using circular motions and then massage it all over the face, including the eyes. Using a cloth or flannel to remove the excess. It leaves your skin feeling plump and hydrated and ready for the rest of your skincare. Yonka is available in selected beauty salons throughout the country. It is also sold by a number of online retails, just Google Yonka Skincare for the results.

Clarins Hydra Essential Moisturising Reviving Eye Mask

I know, it’s another Clarins product BUT bare with me!!  This mask has a hybrid cream-gel texture and the cooling formula reduces signs of dehydration and fatigue for instantly brighter-looking eyes. It feels lightweight yet moisturising. I’ve used it overnight on a few occasions and it doesn’t feel heavy at all. When you wake up in the morning, your eyes look refreshed and revived. Another great way to use it to give tired eyes a boost during the day is to take a very small amount and pat it under the eye. I find it’s excellent for dispersing concealer that may have settled in the fine lines under your eyes. Always remember with any cream that goes under the eye, less is more!!
