Pixi Beauty Toners

Pixi Toner, Glow Tonic, Retinol Tonic

The wonderful Pixi Toner Trio

I had the most wonderful PR drop last week from Pixi Beauty. They are honestly one of the most generous brands and I’m always flabbergasted when they want to work with me. I’ve spoken about Pixi Skincare here before so it’s not a new brand to me.  Out of all of their products though I’m most familiar with their Pixi Toners.

Well two out of three of them that is. I’ve been using both Glow Tonic and Rose Tonic since the start of this year. The Retinol Tonic, which is a recent addition to the Pixi family, I have yet to try. Each Pixi Toner targets a different skincare concern but can be used together to create “Multi Toning perfection”. In this blog post I’m going to break down the benefits of each one. Hopefully this will help you to decide which one (or more) is right for you.

Glow Tonic, glycolic acid, anti aging

Glow Tonic

Glow Tonic

I’m going to start with the most popular one, Glow Tonic. This Pixi Toner has basically earned Cult Status since it’s release and appears on every skin care “must have” list. Glow Tonic contains 5% Glycolic Acid to sweep away dead skin cells revealing healthier, brighter looking skin. Although Glow Tonic is suitable for all skin types, if you have any sensitivity in your skin, I would advise using it every two to three days to begin with. If there is no issue doing that then by all means you can use it every day. Personally I use mine two to three times a week depending on the texture of my skin at the time. The most important thing of all when using Glow Tonic is to be sure and use an SPF afterwards.

Anti aging, soothing,

Rose Tonic

Rose Tonic

As I have already mentioned I started using Rose Tonic earlier this year. After realising Glow Tonic would be too much for my skin every day, I wanted to have an alternative to fall back on. Rose Tonic is really beautiful. I think it appeals to me most because it’s the one Pixi toner that promises to soothe your skin. I have Rosacea on my cheeks so quite often products can irritate me. Rose Tonic helps to tone, minimize redness and calm the skin. It smells beautiful and leaves your skin feeling really soft and supple after use.

Retinol, anti aging, pixi beauty

Retinol Tonic

Retinol Tonic

The newest addition to the Pixi Toner family is Retinol Tonic. I haven’t tried this one yet but let me tell you a bit about it. Pixi say it’s a “potent youth preserving tonic” and features a unique “time-release retinol to help rejuvenate the skin for a natural glow”. We all know that Retinol is a powerful anti-aging product so I am excited to start using this one. Again it says that this one can be used every day but always exercise caution when trying new skin care to find what works best for you.

So there you have it, the three members of the Pixi Toner family. Have you used any of the Pixi toners already? Which one is your favourite?

Excitingly Pixi Beauty is now being sold in Boots in Ireland making it a bit easier for us Irish skin care addicts to get our hands on it!!
