The Vanilla Pumpkin Collection

When I saw the previews of the Vanilla Pumpkin collection from The Body Shop on Twitter and Instagram, I have to admit my heart skipped a little beat. Firstly I’m going to admit that the packaging was the thing that caught my eye, it’s so vibrant and gives me all of the Halloween feels. But aside from that I absolutely love The Body Shop Body Butters so when I see the Special Edition versions I’m usually all over them.

The Vanilla Pumpkin collection consists of four products, a shower gel, a body butter, a hand cream and a sparkling mist. Ingredients include Vanilla from Madagascar, Pumpkin fragrance, Tonka Bean, Hazelnut and Maple Syrup…It sounds good enough to eat right? I was very kindly sent both the hand cream and Body Butter to try so here’s how I got on with them.

Hand Cream €6.50

As unbelievable as this might sound, this was my very first experience with a hand cream from The Body Shop..I know, I know!! I’ve no idea why I’m so late to the party but there you have it… Spoiler alert they’re fabulous! The Vanilla Pumpkin scent is beautiful, now just to say though, if sweet scents aren’t your thing then this collection might not be for you. I find the smell really sweet but more so because of the Vanilla fragrance as opposed to the Pumpkin one. The cream itself has a really lovely texture, it’s moisturising but lightweight which is my preferred texture. Not sure about you but I hate having to wait for creams of any description to soak in. You need very little to make the hands feel moisturised as well which I like, it justifies the €6.50 spend.

Body Butter €20.95

As I’ve mentioned already I’m a huge fan of The Body Shop Body Butters and this one is no exception. If you haven’t tried one before and are a bit turned off because you think it’s going to be way too thick then you definitely need to give one a whirl. I love the consistency of them, moisturising but lightweight and that moisturising feeling lasts. I found that I could still feel the moisturising benefits hours later. Again this edition, like the hand cream is quite sweet smelling but I love it. I think it just smells of Autumn and this makes me very happy indeed. The price tag is high for sure but these pots last and last. Definitely a treat purchase but hey you’re worth it!!

Shimmer Mist €12.50

This is a really fun product, designed to be used in addition to your moisturiser it’s a shimmery sparkle infused mist. A very nice touch to add sparkle to the skin.

Shower Gel €8.95

Great to have the option of the shower gel if you wanted a lighter version of the scent. The Body Shop shower gels are lovely and are soap free so don’t feel in any way drying.

All in all this is a fabulous collection and personally I love the idea of cosmetic companies bringing out Halloween collections, I really hope it catches on.

All of the products are available right now in store but don’t delay because when they’re gone, they’re gone!!
