I know I’ve said this more than once before but The Balm really is one of my favourite make up brands EVER. Just to re-iterate that point here’s a blog post I wrote about their Holiday 2017 collection.
From extremely pigmented eye shadow palettes to out of this world highlighters The Balm never fail to impress me. Because of this I’m always so excited when I see these products come through my door. I had seen a sneak peek of what was coming on their Instagram but that’s not the same as seeing them for yourself for the first time.
Meet Matt(e) Shmaker Eye Shadow Palette €29.50
Have you ever used an eye shadow palette from The Balm before? If not I honestly cannot recommend them highly enough. The pigment and blendability of these shadows is second to none. This particular palette features six perfectly paired matte and shimmer shades, all highly pigmented and extremely velvety to the touch. Just have a look at these shades….swoon!!
Mary-Dew Manizer & Bonnie Dew-Manizer €14.40
So late last year The Balm introduced a new member to the Manizer powder family, Bonnie-Lou. She’s a beautiful bronzey gold highlighter which rivaled my love for Mary-Lou greatly. This year let me introduce you to two more new additions, Mary-Dew and Bonnie-Dew. Both of these ladies are multi purpose, lightweight cream highlighters suitable to be worn on the eyes, cheekbones and cupid’s bow. Another great way to use them is adding a little touch to your moisturiser or foundation to give the skin a radiant finish. If you love the originals then these are going to be a must have for you. In my humble opinion you can never have too much glow!!
Mr Write Eyeliner Pencils €13.00
These eyeliners come in five different shades each one with a super cute moniker!! They’re extremely soft and velvety to use and very pigmented. So far I’ve only had a chance to use the blue shade Seymour …. but I can confirm that it applies like a dream and is very easy to blend. It’s also really long lasting and didn’t budge after I had applied it. I’m really excited to try the other shades especially the nude one, which, when applied to the waterline, helps to make your eyes appear larger.
So what are your thoughts on the new releases? Have you any favourite products from The Balm?
