My Current Beauty Favourites

Instagram is the place where I share my beauty favourites most frequently. So then sometimes I forget that those who don’t follow me over there have no idea what I’m loving at any given time. So here’s a little run through of my most gushed about products on “the gram” right now.

The Pixi Rose Skincare collection

Pixi Beauty Rose Ceramide Cream

This cream was sent to me in a PR package but it truly was love at first use for me. Baring in mind that my skin is dry, I really love the nourishment this cream gives me. It is Rose scented but not too strongly let me add and a little of it goes a long way. First of all, I love the texture, beautifully hydrating without feeling too heavy. Secondly, it is a fantastic base for makeup. It helps my skin to look dewy and fresh and my makeup glides on over it. This is going straight to the top of my current beauty favourites and I will definitely be repurchasing it.

Pixi skincare is available to buy from Cloud 10 Beauty, Marks and Spencer and Boots.

IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye Illumination Concealer

Everything I have tried so far from IT Cosmetics has been wonderful. I spoke in depth here recently about the wonders of the  IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream . And off the back of my success with using that I decided to give the Bye Bye Undereye Illumination Concealer a try. It also comes in a non illumination version so from the outset I want to say the illuminating version is very glowy. So if a glowy finish to your makeup is not your thing, I recommend trying the original version.

I’m wearing Bye Bye Under Illumination Concealer here in the shade Light

The concealer was created by a former news presenter who wanted to create something that would stand up to unforgiving HD cameras. It’s a highly pigmented, full coverage concealer so a little really does go a long way. It is nourishing and doesn’t sit in the lines under your eyes. This is one of the main reasons why it has become one of my recent beauty favourites.

To apply, squeeze a little bit onto the tips of your fingers and pat in under the eye. Normally I would then blend it in using the brush I’ve applied my foundation with just to make sure the colours are fully blended. IT Cosmetics is currently available online and in store from Arnotts and online from From the 24th of May 2019 there will also be a counter in Brown Thomas Cork.

Catrice Brow Colorist Semi-Permanent Brow Mascara

Every now and then a product comes along to remind you exactly why you don’t always have to spend a fortune to find excellent quality. The Brow Colorist Brow Mascara from Catrice is the most recent example of this. I was giving this by my gorgeous friend Maria from No Spring Chicken when I spent some time with her earlier this year.

Catrice Brow Colorist

So it’s a brow mascara with a gel formula that creates a tint effect on the brows. The applicator is really simple to use and is really accurate at dispersing the product. An excellent product for filling in the gaps in your brows while adding colour and definition. It’s so reasonable too. It averages out at about €4. Catrice also claim with regular use of the product over a longer period of time, the brows will start to develop a “semi-permanent” colour. I haven’t been using it frequently enough to say whether or not this is actually the case.

Below I have done a side by side comparison using the Catrice Brow Colorist Brow Mascara (€4.30 for 3.8mls in Sam Mc Cauley’s) and Benefit Gimme Brow + (€26.50 for 3g in Debenhams)

E.L.F. Cosmetics Lip Plumping Gloss in Sparkling Rose

Words won’t do this gloss justice. I’m hoping the photo below will though. I discovered this beauty on a trip to Penneys and decided to team it with PS Beauty lip pencil in Valentine. These glosses are designed to plump the lips so you will feel a tingle when you apply. They are enriched with Coconut Oil and Vitamin E so they nourish the lips while adding colour.

I absolutely love this combination!!

This colour combination has had one of the biggest reactions ever on my social media. And if glossy pinky nudes are your thing I recommend giving these a try together.

I’m a really big fan of everything I’ve tried from IT Cosmetics so far. I have another recent post about their CC Cream too if you want more info on it ☺️
