Moroccan Oil Hair Care

The fabulous Moroccan Oil range

Anybody else do this? Check out what shampoos are on offer in the supermarket when doing their food shop and just pick that one. Surely it can’t just be me??

I spend lots of money on skincare and makeup but when it comes to my hair I just have zero interest. I’m not one for the hairdresser unless my colour needs to be done (which currently is twice a year). In fact I don’t even blow dry my hair regularly if I’m honest. I’m busy, I have two small children, it’s Mam buns all the way.

Anyway, I was recently contacted by the wonderful Irish website Beautyfeatures.ie to see if I was interested in collaborating with them. When I saw the excellent brands they stocked I was delighted to have the opportunity. They asked me if I would like to write about skincare or hair care and I saw this as my opportunity to finally try and get a good hair care regime in place. I explained my main concerns with the condition of my hair and told them to pick whatever they thought was the most suitable product.

A little while later a package arrived in the post packed full of Moroccan Oil goodies. I was thrilled with their choice of brand. I had heard lots of wonderful feedback on their products. There was also a big reaction from followers when I showed the products on my Instagram Stories. All positive!!

Love is in the Hair Hydrating Set

What they sent to me was the Moroccan Oil Love is in the Hair Hydrating Set featured above. Included in it is the Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner (both 250ml) and a 60ml bottle of the Dry Texture Spray. I started using them immediately and firstly the smell!! My goodness it’s divine. In fact I’ve been asked on a number of occasions what perfume I’m wearing when in fact it’s my hair products they’re smelling.

My hair care staples for the past few weeks

These are the main differences I’ve noticed since using Moroccan Oil hair care;

  • My hair is shinier, like a lot shinier.
  • The conditioner makes it a lot easier for me to get the knots out in the shower, therefore reducing breakages.
  • My need for using straighteners (even though I don’t much anyway) has reduced further because my hair is so much sleeker after I blow dry it, it only needs a quick run over for it to be poker straight.
  • My hair is cleaner for longer. Using this shampoo and conditioner has definitely reduced the amount of hair washing I have to do as my hair is less oily.
  • I think my hair just feels nicer overall. It feels softer and in my opinion, looks healthier.

At the very least, I feel like Moroccan Oil have converted me to investing more money into my hair care because there really is a noticeable improvement in only a few short weeks.

Everybody needs this Treatment Oil in their lives!!

Along with this kit, Beauty Features also kindly sent me travel size Dry Shampoo (Dark Tones) and Treatment Moroccan Oil. Dry Shampoo is a must have in my opinion and I normally do go for a tinted one. This is going to be a definite repurchase for me. You need so little of this in comparison to other brands I’ve used and when you spray it on your hair doesn’t end up grey. There is also no sticky residue left over in your hair after you apply it. A big thumbs up from me!!

The star of the show for me though is the Treatment Oil. Add this to your everyday haircare regime and you will start to see changes for the better. It’s such a multi-tasker of a product. You can apply it to wet hair before styling. Just pop a few drops into the palms of your hands and run it through your damp hair.

You need to try this Dry Shampoo if you haven’t already!!

You can also use it on dry, frizzy or flyaway ends to tame them. It protects the hair from sun and environmental damage and is suitable for use on coloured and chemically treated hair along with hair extensions. It will add shine and strength to your hair without leaving an oily residue. It’s a miracle for your hair!!

Beauty Features constantly have special offers running on Moroccan Oil (as well as many other brands) so if you’re interested in purchasing anything from the range make sure to have a look on their website first.

As if that’s not good enough then they’ve also given me a discount code for you all to avail of. Enjoy 10% off of everything on the site, including sale items but excluding Dermologica by using the code LNL10 at the checkout.

For full disclosure, any of the links I've used in this post are non-affiliate. The items mentioned above were sent to me to try but as always my opinions are my own.

These sound fab, do you think they’d be suitable for a sensitive scalp? I’ve always heard such great things about MoroccanOil but never tried them though I really want to, especially the oil.

I don’t have any sensitivity in my scalp personally so I can’t say for sure…the thing about the oil though is you only use it on the ends of your hair so it wouldn’t be touching the scalp.

I don’t think I’ve been using the Texture spray correctly because I didn’t notice too big a difference when I used it.

The Dry Shampoo is fabulous, I’ll definitely be buying this in the full size. I’d really recommend the shampoo and conditioner Siobhan

    Hi

Just to let you know I ordered these the next day after your post & then just got an email today to say sorry but this package is out of stock & is being discontinued & they are doing a refund for me.

Oh gosh Linda that’s so disappointing I’m sorry I wasn’t aware that that was the case when I wrote the post. I assumed that they were going to send on something that was in stock for me to try!!! Did you have a look at any of the other sets on the website?

I know that’s what I was thinking you’d think they would have given you something that they had plenty of stock of. I hate that aswell when you order & think it’s coming & then get an email later to say it’s out of stock. It’s so disappointing. No I didn’t get a chance yet to look I only saw the email a while ago saying they were refunding for the kit & sending me out the dry shampoo. It would have been good to get an option to change so not paying for delivery twice! Anyway just wanted to let you know that they are saying out of stock now. Thanks a mill x

I’m going to send them an email giving them this feedback my self Linda. I’m quite annoyed by it as I look a bit silly now recommending it
