So recently I got sent some bits to try from Misslyn Cosmetics, a new enough brand to Ireland. It is the cutest brand ever, I imagine if The Balm and Benefit had a baby, it would look like Misslyn!! So obviously the packaging is really attractive but what are the products like? Here’s a selection of some of the products I got to try.
Travel Kit All in One Teint Palette in “Jetsetter”
So this is such a handy little product. It contains four powders. A bronzing powder, highlighter, blush and fixing powder. The contour shade in this palette is so perfect for fairer skin as it is a lovely cool tone. The blush shade is a beautiful soft pink shade. The highlighter is a really delicate golden colour and is buildable depending on how glowy you want to go. The fixing powder is completely translucent. To demonstrate the best way to use this palette, I decided to film a quick video for Instagram which I will attach here. I think the video shows the shades really well. I was so impressed with the pigment and staying power of the powders.
The Travel Kit also comes in the shade “Globetrotter” this one contains a deeper shade of bronzer, a coral blush and a beautiful champagne coloured highlighter.
Colour Crush Lipstick- Shade 90 Sweet Stuff
So I’m a lipstick addict we all know this. But I think I have found a new favourite lipstick texture. The Colour Crush lipsticks feel so, so beautiful on. The pigment is incredible too. I have found them to be long lasting yet really creamy. I’ve since used another one in the shade 170 Kiss My Lips and now I want them all!! You honestly need to give these lipsticks a try, I promise you, you will be so impressed.
Love at First Boost Volumizing Gloss
Again I have used two of these glosses, No.5 You Gloss This and No.8 Kick Ass Pout. The texture is really beautiful. They are plumping so they give your lips that tingly feeling when you apply them. And I actually do think that they do plump them a little bit too. There is fabulous pigment in these too and they could easily be worn on their own or over lipstick. They don’t feel sticky or tacky on, they’re very comfortable. And I love the shape of the applicator, makes it really easy to apply. Again, it’s another big thumbs up from me.
Black Off! Precise Liquid Eyeliner
This liner is so easy to use. Honestly if liquid liner isn’t your forte I think this would be a great one to try. It just glides on and gives you a really precise finish. Best of all though it is incredibly pigmented. My pet peeve with liquid liners is when they’re not black enough. No such problem with this one. It also lasts really well and doesn’t budge once it’s applied.
So that’s just a little taster of some of the products I’ve tried from Misslyn Cosmetics. I’ve truly been so impressed with what I’ve tried from the brand so far. I’m already looking forward to trying some more. All of the products are suitable for sensitive skin and are free from Parabens. Misslyn is also a cruelty free brand. If any of these products piqued your interest and you like to try the brand, Misslyn can be found on Boots.ie and in selected Penneys stores nationwide.
