So if you think about your local Marks and Spencer and what do you think of? Up until recently I would have said, food, firstly lol!! After that I would have chosen flowers and clothes. I wouldn’t have been aware of all of the wonderful skincare brands Marks and Spencer stock including a varied selection of their own skincare brands.
A few weeks ago they sent me some products to try and today I’m going to focus on the Formula Absolute range. In particular, Absolute Ultimate Sleep Cream and Absolute Time Capsules. Both of these products are Marks and Spencer own brand and are an excellent addition to your anti aging skincare routine.
Let me start with the Ultimate Sleep Cream. Now this product has gained quite a reputation for itself. When I spoke on my Instagram Stories about it, I received a lot of messages. There were a number from those who had tried it already and loved it. But also many from women who really wanted to try it and were looking forward to hearing my opinion.
What Marks and Spencer say about it;
“Distilling the benefits of a good night’s sleep into an intensely moisturising product, this sleep cream is an absolute must-have to achieve soft, smooth and healthy looking skin. Apply this night cream before bed and let the magic of peptides and hyaluronic acid nourish and hydrate your skin, giving you a radiant and youthful complexion”.
Here’s what I think. I completely understand all of the love this product gets. It makes your skin feel so beautifully soft after you apply it. In fact I noticed a visible difference to the texture of my skin after using this cream. The smell is incredible!! It certainly sets you up for getting bed time ready. It smells like utter relaxation in a pot!!
It’s definitely most suitable for a drier skin as it is quite rich and it does leave an initial residue. That may not be for everyone but I like that, especially as the weather starts to get colder. At €30 for 50mls I think it is excellent value for money.
Next up are the Formula Absolute Time Capsules. Before these I had never tried skincare capsules before. They’re so handy though, and a great way to supercharge your skin on the go.
What Marks and Spencer say about them;
“Supercharge your skincare regime with these intensively moisturising time capsules, specially designed to target stubborn wrinkles and crow’s feet that your day cream misses. Use these anti-ageing shots on cleansed skin every morning for a smooth, rejuvenated appearance and a boost to your confidence”.
I got on so well with these. At first I had wondered if there was going to enough product in the capsule to cover my entire face!! As soon as I warmed up the contents of the capsule in my hands, I knew I would be fine. The idea behind them is that they target crow’s feet, forehead lines and lip wrinkles. My face has not been utterly transformed in the last few weeks but it has felt hydrated, soft and extremely comfortable. I think these would be such an excellent addition to your makeup bag. Especially if you’re somebody who does their makeup on the go in the mornings. Time Capsules are going to help make your skin glow and help it get ready for your moisturiser.
Overall I had a really positive experience with the Formula Absolute range. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to any of you drier skinned ladies. I really think you’d see the benefit of adding them to your routine. So next time you pop to your local M&S definitely cast your eye over their extensive skincare selection. Or if your local store is small then pop over to their website and check out what they have to offer.
As always guys, if you have any questions pop them below. I really appreciate any comments you leave below. It’s always lovely to get feedback.
