Jo Browne Cleansing Balm

I am already a really big fan of Jo Browne and her stunning solid fragrances. So I was over the moon to see new products being launched late last year. The new products are the gorgeous Jo Browne Natural Facial Cleansing Balm and Eco Bamboo Facecloth.

Cleansing Balms are by far my most favourite way to clean my face. They feel like such a treat, especially those made from Essential Oils as they usually smell amazing. I wanted to get a few months use of this product under my belt before writing this review so I could give you a good break down of it.

Firstly, how to use it. A very small amount of product will clean your entire face. Melt the Balm down by warming it up in your fingertips and massage it on to dry skin. You then remove it by using either a facecloth or the Jo Browne Eco Bamboo Facecloth warmed up. I have to say that I’ve used both while trialing this Balm and I didn’t notice a huge difference on my skin between using the Jo Browne cloth and one of my own cleansing cloths. The excellent thing about this cloth though is that it is 100% Eco-Friendly Bamboo. Bamboo grows naturally and requires no pesticides to keep it healthy. When the Bamboo is harvested the roots remain and the plant regenerates quickly, therefore making it quite a sustainable material.

The Balm itself contains 98% organic ingredients and is hand poured by Jo Browne herself at her home in Co. Carlow. Amongst other beautiful ingredients, the Balm contains Camellia Oil which is considered to be a miracle oil due to it’s many beauty and healing benefits. Beautiful, especially for dry skin as it’s extremely nourishing.

How did I find it? Well I loved it. It’s very gentle on the skin while still being an excellent cleanser. I absolutely love to Double Cleanse so I would normally use this Balm as my second cleanser so I can feel the nourishing benefits of it on my skin. Just a note as well, this product isn’t suitable for use around the eye area so avoid contact there.

As I said earlier I’ve been using this product very regularly since late last year and I’ve barely made a dent in the pot. You need so little to clean your face, it melts right down. This product was sent to me to try but I would 100% buy it again. I love how natural this brand is. I love how buying from Jo supports an amazing Irish woman in business and I really hope that this is the first in a long line of skincare products from Jo Browne.

The Cleansing Balm itself costs €34.00 and the Eco Bamboo Face Cloth is €7.95 and both are available to buy here from the Jo Browne website. What’s your favourite type of cleanser?

This item was sent to me by Jo Browne to try but as always all opinions are my own.
