When it comes to lipstick I’d like to think I know a thing or two. It truly is my vice. When it comes to Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks I was hooked from the very first time I tried one. In less than a year I have gone from having none to having twelve. The twelfth edition to the family being The Queen.
The Queen is one of the latest additions to the Charlotte Tilbury lipstick family. It’s part of the Matte Revolution range. If you haven’t tried these, they are honestly some of the most comfortable matte lipsticks you’ll ever wear. At first glance The Queen looks like a classic bright red but on swatching you realise that it is actually the prettiest rosy jewel toned shade.
That’s something that I have noticed with Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks in the past. They can often appear a lot different in the bullet than they do on the lips so it’s always a good idea to pop to a counter to try them before buying if possible. Unfortunately that won’t be possible with The Queen as it is currently an online exclusive. Although on the Charlotte Tilbury website you have the option of seeing the lipstick on several different skin tones which is helpful.
Just to fill you in about the Matte Revolution range of lipsticks themselves. First thing is, they are unexpectedly hydrating. The first Charlotte Tilbury lipstick I ever tried, Very Victoria is from this range and it truly converted me. They glide onto the lips, remaining comfortable throughout the day. The colour is buildable so you can go from having a little dash of colour right up to full coverage depending on your preference.
The Queen can be bought separately or as part of the Your Lip Service collection. This collection also includes the newly released Matte Revolution lipstick The Legendary Queen and the K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick in The Duchess. Not surprisingly I want them all but for the moment I’ll have to settle for this lovely lady.
I bought mine from Feel Unique as it is a little bit cheaper there and I have chosen Charlotte Tilbury as my Brand for Life so that gets me a further 10% off. So what are your thoughts? Have you tried Charlotte Tilbury? Will you be adding The Queen to your list of must haves? Let me know.
