Now if you’ve been following my blog or any of my social media pages for a while then you’ll know all about my deep love for The Balm. One of the most highly underrated make up brands in my humble opinion. Extremely well known for their cult product Mary-Lou Manizer highlighter but trust me there’s so much more to them that that!
In this blog post I’m going to concentrate on their upcoming collection for Christmas 2017 and trust me it’s a good one!!
Smoke Balm Vol 4. €14.50
First up is Smoke Balm Vol. 4, this is a gorgeous trio of eye shadows both foiled and matte that perfectly complement each other and make it easy to create different looks on the go. Now if it’s one thing The Balm know how to make it’s eye shadows and these are no exception. These are the perfect collection of warm every day colours that seamlessly blend together. Honestly since I got this palette I keep going back to it. This is the most perfect palette to pop into your handbag for every day wear, it’s super versatile. Also can we take a moment for the packaging!! It’s styled as a little match box…as if I couldn’t love this brand anymore!!
Meet Matte Hughes Vol 3. €29.00
Firstly I’m going to say that I am not the biggest fan of matte liquid lipsticks at all. This is the third installment of the Meet Matte Hughes miniatures collection from The Balm and by far these have been some of the nicest I’ve used. Although they still feel dry on the lips they don’t start cracking or fading from the inside out which I hate. They also don’t make your lips feel uncomfortable. Excitingly in this collection too there are three brand new shades added and their shades are always intense and bold. The Balm manage to cover every want when it comes to shades and I think the price point of these are excellent. Even though they’re miniatures there is still plenty of product in them so six for €29.00 in my opinion is great value.
In The Balm of your Hand Vol 2. €32.00
This is the second all in one face palette from The Balm and I have to say I think these are such a fantastic idea. It brings together some of their “greatest hits” from previous palettes all in one place. Included are four eye shadows that can be used wet or dry, two blushes that can also be used on the eyes, one long wearing blush and one matte bronzer which can also be used to contour and on the eyes and the world famous Mary-Lou Manizer highlighter, which is a must have to finish off any make up look.
They’ve chosen a beautiful selection of shades that compliment each other perfectly. I really love the blush shades in particular, they’re so universal. I’m definitely bringing this multi-tasking product with me when I go on holidays in November. I also think that this one would be ideal for somebody who likes a no fuss make up look, it’s a simple go to palette with everything you need to create your look all in one place.
Girls Getaway Trio €24.00
The last part of the Holiday 2017 collection from The Balm is Girls Getaway Trio, a trio of Bronzer/Blush products. This is beyond gorgeous. Firstly the packaging is stunning, in true The Balm style it’s very 50’s pin up girl inspired. The shades included are just so pretty, first off there’s Balm Springs, a beautiful deep rose shade blush. Secondly there’s Balm Beach, a warm neutral toned blush which is just perfect for every skin tone. I also think that this one would work beautifully as a gentle contouring shade on a paler skin like my own. And last but not least is Balm Desert, a new addition to their bronzing family and perfect for giving yourself that just back from holiday glow. Again this one is 100% coming with me on holidays it ticks all of my boxes!!
All of these products are available right now online from Cloud 10 Beauty and in selected Debenhams stores nationwide. So what do you think of the Holiday collection from The Balm? Have you tried anything from this brand before? What are your favourite products?
